Off and Away

So it's been nearly a week since my last post, and to tell the truth I haven't really done much since then. I attended mid-autumn festivals, I wrote a paper on the ties between tourism and agriculture in Costa Rica (huh?), and came down with food poisoning. Yup, that about sums up my week!

Next week is gonna be much different, though, if only because of the change of scenery. Today I'm hopping a flight to Miri, a city in Malaysian Borneo, where I'll be kicking around for the recess week. I plan to visit the Mulu caves, hit a beach or two, and make my way to Brunei for a night. I'm not sure what else will transpire, as I decided to go alone and will be pretty much just showing up at a hostel hoping that other backpacker-type people will be there. And that said people will be friendly and willing to add a Canadian to their crew. Not too much to hope for, right?

So suffice to say I won't be updating here for a while, not until the 26th at the earliest. Cheers!
