So I spent two days this weekend at Baybeats, a Southeast Asian indie music festival here in Singapore. That said, this post won't be at all about that! You'll have to wait read this more recent post for those details.
Instead I'm offering up another one of my favourite female vocalists, Florence Welsh, and another cover, You've Got the Love.
While it isn't my favourite song off her album, I still like it. I like her solo version, I like her live duet with Dizzee Rascal more, and I adore her collaboration with the xx on this version of the song.
Just like Marina last week it was the easy pace that hooked me, but the percussion beat and harp are what keep me coming back. That, and the almost chilling duet between Florence and... well, whoever that guy is. I assume he's a member of the xx? I love me some Florence + the Machine, although now I should look into what the xx have to offer. Anyhow, check out the link above and give the song a listen, I promise it's a good'un!

How can I know you're listening unless you respond?
